There is something about being near or even better yet on or in water that makes us happier. Rent a sailboat for the day in Cancun and you’ll see what I mean. I think this excerpt from Conde Nast Traveler’s article ” Why Being Near Water Really Does Make Us Happier” sums it up nicely:

For some, just being on a sailboat and enjoying the ride is enough but for those who are are interested in doing something more during their time at sea, Sailing Mare offers lots of fun activities. Swim side-by-side with a myriad of colourful, tropical fish, explore several coral reefs and if you are lucky you just might see a manta ray or turtle.
